Sunday Brunching
Our founder Emma Tattersall shares with us her hopes for the next Ladies-who-Brunch on Sunday 24th June.
The first few months of this year have flown by at an unbelievable pace. It seems like only yesterday that we were joined by 47 incredible women at Offley Works Canteen for the very first Ladies-who-Brunch. I can't believe that was nearly three months ago.
Ladies-who-Launch was born from a desire to champion the amazing women I find myself surrounded by every day. The ambitious, determined, hard-working, glamorous, unsung sheros of my everyday. I never could have imagined that this community would grow to include the thousands of truly amazing people it does today.
As the platform has grown, as each new story has been told, I have always been so humbled by the incredible stories we have been able to share and the women I have been fortunate enough to meet both online and offline.
The connections that are taking place offline are beyond anything I could have imagined in April 2017 as I made a few clicks and bought this domain. Each week I get meet with someone new who wants to reach out and find out more about Ladies-who-Launch. Each month I get to attend fantastic events promoting equality, inclusion, visibility and discussion on the topics at the heart of Ladies-who-Launch. I have forged connections with women and men who I not only consider to be not valiant supporters, but also newly found friends.
And I am not the only one - new partnerships, new collaborations, new mentorship, new conversation ignites each week around the content we share. There's no greater joy for me than seeing these connections grow and evolve between the people in our community.
So where does Ladies-who-Brunch come in? For me it's the epitome of everything I hope Ladies-who-Launch is and will continue to be. It's about creating a space where people can come together and share common experience, can discuss those difficult questions that we never seem to find the right time to ask, to learn and question what role we all play in making our own circles more inclusive and more equal.
It's an event aimed at welcoming the diverse range of women whose stories we share on our Launch Pad and who make up our community. Be that female founders, super mums, university students, CEOs, intrepreneurs, entrepreneurs, colleagues, friends, writers, freelancers, corporates, retirees.
For this next event, we have built on the success of our first and added in a few surprises for the day. Hosted by the award winning creative hub that is Carousel London, tickets include a delicious brunch, welcome cocktail and a goodie bag full of discounts and treats for our attendees.
Consider this your formal invitation to find out more about us, more about yourself, and more about my dreams for the future of this platform.
I really hope to see you there.
Emma
