October's must-reads

We've got an exciting month ahead of us on the LWL bookclub (we're a little bit bias admittedly... #sorrynotsorry). Not only do we have the wonderful Jennifer Nadel, author of WE: Women Everywhere joining us at our Ladies-who-Brunch event on Sunday 14th (don't worry if you can't be there, you'll be able to share your questions with us online) but we've got a great line up planned. Find out what's on our shelf, screen and playlist this October:

Killing Eve developed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge

🗓10th October

Everyone's favourite psychopath, Villanelle has taken the world by storm. Developed by the unstoppable Phoebe Waller-Bridge (of Fleabag fame) we'll be talking about the series and what it is about women who kill that fascinate us so much.

After The Party by Cressida Connolly

🗓17th October

Set on the eve of the second world war, Phyllis finds herself entangled in a strange new world of idealistic beliefs and friendships. Years later, she recounts the dramatic and devastating story which ultimately led to her imprisonment and changed the course of her life forever.

The Queen Engineer: Q&A with author Suze Hemming

🗓24th October

Our launcher Suze Hemming is back with her second children's book after the roaring success of She's Not Good For A Girl, She's Just Good. We'll be catching up with her on why diversity is so important in children's fiction.

Ear Hustle as told by Norman Poor and Earlonne Woods

🗓31st October

If you were a fan of Serial, then make Ear Hustle the next podcast on your playlist. Recorded from San Quentin State Prison, Ear Hustle brings you the stories of life inside prison, shared and produced by those living it.
