Networking events are awkward and stuffy
by Laura Bingham

Networking events are awkward and stuffy, thats what I had come to believe. I knew I had to go to them to broaden my network but id always need ‘to take a friend’, so I wasn’t that loner in the corner.
When I went to ‘Ladies-who-Launch’, I took a friend, so I wouldn’t be that loner! However after my experience at the last event, I would happily go to the next event alone!! Although my friend had such a good time too, I doubt I will be allowed.
There was such a light free energy in the room, the room itself was bright, light, unstuffy and non-pretentious, it was filled with phenomenal woman that were chatty and bubbly! And there was none of this ‘you need someone to introduce you’. It was a free-for-all chit chat with everyone.
Emma had thought about everything beautifully, the entire brunch had an air of serenity and fun! It is my go to networking event now.
