A note from our founder...
Updated: Mar 28, 2018
Well, it has been a crazy 337 days!

I am continuously inspired and amazed by the stories we get to share. Each time a new questionnaire or message hits the inbox I find a quiet corner and get ready to be moved, inspired and humbled.
Too often I hear, “I’m not interesting enough to be on the site but I just wanted to reach out” or “what I do isn’t special enough but what you’re doing is great”. Let me say this to you ladies once and for all – what you do is interesting and inspiring because of the way you do it. You are unique and your story is different to everybody else’s. What might seem mundane to you is awe inspiring for the next person. We need you and your story, please don’t undervalue your own importance - let us celebrate it.

For the last year, LWL has been a predominantly female space and in the year ahead we are excited to widen the conversation with the launch of our new blog Speaker’s Corner. This area of the site will showcase the books we are reading, the podcasts we are listening to, the events we are lucky enough to attend, as well as a series of articles shared by our followers on a range of topics.
I get asked a lot why I started LWL. It came from a place of deep seated sadness about the pace of change and a burning desire to do something. In the word’s of another Emma, “all I know is that I care about this problem. And I want to make it better… if not me, who? If not now, when?”

So thank you all - for supporting LWL, and for supporting me. Thank you for sharing your stories and for being mentors. I look forward to continuing along this wonderful path together.
