THE BIG QUESTIONS
WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSIONAL TITLE?
Artist liaison and administrator
WHAT DO YOU DO ON A DAY-TO-DAY BASIS?
Organise exhibitions and art fairs, take care of administrative and logistics for the museum loans, and different shows outside the gallery, help promote our artists' work, make it evolve and get recognition.
WHAT DID YOU WANT TO DO WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD?
Be a teacher
WHAT ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU HAVE?
I have two bachelor degrees and a masters degree
WHAT’S THE BEST CAREER ADVICE YOU’VE EVER BEEN GIVEN?
Do what you love with passion and the rest will follow.
WHO IS YOUR ROLE MODEL AND WHY?
Definitely my mom who perfectly succeeded to handle a family of 3 children and a successful career.
WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT YOUR CURRENT WORKING ENVIRONMENT?
I work in the field I'm most passionate about, in a good relaxed atmosphere.
WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE ABOUT YOUR DAILY WORK ROUTINE IF YOU COULD?
I don't like working Saturdays... I love to travel with my husband and it makes it harder.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF PROFESSIONALLY IN FIVE YEARS’ TIME?
Maybe opening my own art gallery.
DO YOU FEEL YOU CAN BE THE SAME PERSON AT WORK AND IN PRIVATE?
Yes, completely.
WHERE AND IN WHAT ROLES ARE WOMEN IN THE LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE AT YOUR COMPANY?
The gallery is entirely managed by women but owned and directed by a man so all decisions ultimately come to him.
DOES DIVERSITY MATTER TO YOU?
Of course, there are more and more art galleries managed and owned by women which I think makes the art scene in Paris more interesting.
HOW GOOD IS YOUR WORK LIFE BALANCE?
My schedule is easy, I work from 11am to 7pm everyday and only work late for our opening nights. My only issue is working Saturdays but it's a very good overall balance.
WHAT QUALITIES DOES BEING IN YOUR ROLE NECESSITATE?
Excellent organisation, a good artistic eye and knowledge, being very social, curious and a convincing salesperson!
