01.

What is your professional title, purpose or passion?

Hello there! My name is Divya and I am from India. I am a 21 year old girl pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and I am a passionate social entrepreneur working on Women’s Hygiene.

From the very beginning, I dreamt to be an entrepreneur and an inspiration for many. While I was in my freshman year, I realised the societal needs and understood what things I really value and must work for. I saw women in my region suffering from postpartum menstrual problems and then after a complete research January 1 2020 was the day when I launched my own company: Ivya, with its product one being maternity pads. And since then my purpose is to help the needy and inspire many to make the world a better place to live in.

03.

What did you want to do when you were a child and what changed?

Honestly, like every other teen who jumps from one thing to other I was pretty much the same. When I was 16 I dreamt to be a pilot, a forest department officer and what not. But it’s true, when you eventually become matured you understand yourselves way better than you used to. And similarly I did it too. The self-realisation factor and being aware of my insights has led me to where I am right now.

05.

What's the best career advice you've ever been given?

My mother has always been my inspiration. And the best career advice she keeps on telling me is “follow your heart and do what makes you happy”.

07.

What is the best thing about your current working environment?

The freedom and a shared purpose, which we as a team have common in is definitely the best thing about my work environment.

09.

Where do you see yourself in five years' time?

I am a woman with a vision helping the society in need.
I am a woman financially stable to live a suitable life.
I am a woman who is optimistic and an emotional intelligent being.

Tell us more about a charitable organisation or project you think is great.

Motopaws, is a student organisation which aims to make reflective collars for the animals and save them from being hit by cars/bikes on roads.

It’s a great project and has been implemented in various cities and states of India.

13.

What drives you?

I am glad I received this opportunity to reach you all. And I am looking forward to know more. Thank you LWL.

15.

Any final comments?

I’m currently learning the power of contentment and appreciating my journey. This means I’m being very conscious and deliberate; enjoying each moment and not fighting the process. Always being grateful for what I have and fiercely going for what’s next!

02.

What does a normal day look like for you?

Every day is different from one another. Sometimes it’s easy to go with and otherwise it’s difficult. Being a student and an entrepreneur is a challenging task. But honestly throughout the journey till date, if I see my days on a larger scale I’ve learnt a lot about life as a whole. The stories I run, the people I listen to, have made my dreams to come true and have driven to work on my goals.

04.

What have you achieved that you feel most proud of?

The foremost thing I value in my life is Happiness. And the smile which people have when I help them out is the most proud moment for me.

06.

Tell us about a woman who inspires you

MY MOTHER. She has a doctorate in Child Psychology and has been my inspiration and my idol.  I truly respect her visions and her ethics about life and humanity indeed. She is a woman with courage, confidence and a lot of strength which I mean to learn it from her.

08.

What was your biggest failure?

I would not relate my lower sale graph month over what I really mean by failure on my end. But the bitter truth/failure is: At times we meet clients wherein they judge us on our ages as we are students and they won’t bother to give us any opportunity to explain the whys.

10.

What do you like most about yourself?

Being honest with myself and being a grateful person is majorly what I like about myself.

12.

How can we make the world more inclusive and accepting?

By educating people majorly about Emotional Intelligence.

14.

What skills have been key to your journey so far?

My communication skills, confidence, and the ability to relate others.
